HANGZHOU—February 22, 2023—Babycare, a leading brand in China's maternal and infant industry, has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with global pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes producer Avery Dennison to cooperate in R&D, supply chain, marketing, and product quality control. The agreement was signed today at Hangzhou, Babycare’s headquarters. Robin Lu, general manager of Avery Dennison Performance Tapes, Shuigen Yuan, chief public affairs officer of Babycare, and department heads from both parties attended the signing ceremony.

Under the new strategic agreement, Avery Dennison Performance Tapes and Babycare will make use of their respective competencies to cooperate in materials and technology research and development, and explore the possibility of customized products. In terms of supply chain and quality control, Avery Dennison Performance Tapes will set up a dedicated service team for Babycare to ensure a stable supply of raw materials and strengthen its production management for quality assurance.

Avery Dennison Performance Tapes has worked in cooperation with Babycare since 2021 as a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape expert and personal care closure solution supplier. Their joint efforts have produced a disposable tape solution suitable for the soft bottom layer of Babycare Camellia Gentle series pull-up pants. The two parties improved the bonding method of the disposable tape and the outer layer material through joint research to enhance product quality and user experience. Avery Dennison Performance Tapes disposable tapes are applied to various product lines of Babycare pull-up pants.

“Babycare's core value of ‘customer mindset’ coincides with our Avery Dennison value of ‘external focus’,” said Robin. “The cooperation with Babycare aligns with the strategic direction of long-term sustainable development for Avery Dennison Performance Tapes in the Chinese personal care market.”

Babycare’s Shuigen Yuan added: “Comprehensive cooperation with an international  adhesive research and manufacturing company like Avery Dennison Performance Tapes will help us extend innovation and quality control to raw materials, develop more top-quality products for consumers, and provide a healthy and safe way of life.”
